Ipswich High School – Dairy House Phase 1
We are pleased to have completed and handed over the first phase of the conversion of the Dairy House building at Ipswich High School to provide a new boarding facility. The accommodation comprises living quarters for 18 boarders and a Matron. This Grade II listed building was sympathetically restored and now provides a modern boarding facility for the school
Hills are currently working on the £3 million second phase at Dairy House for our client London and Oxford Group providing accommodation for an additional 40 boarders. This part of the project comprises a part refurbishment of the existing stables and outbuildings, together a new single storey extension. These works commenced in November 2019 and are due to complete in two sections, the first handing over in August 2020 and the section in December 2020.
Kesgrave Hall Spa
Hills Construction are currently undertaking the design and construction of a new Spa building at Kesgrave Hall in Suffolk , working once again with the Milsom Group. The Spa is a timber frame building finished in a timber cladding and complete with extensive aluminium glazing, including large bi-fold doors to create a light and open feel. The Spa also has a large hot tub and a spectacular double sided log burner all in a large timber decked area.
Works are due to complete in March 2020 on time and in budget.
Hills Construction are working once again with KLH Architects, this time to extend and refurbish a large private dwelling house, Spring Farm, Monks Eleigh. The works involve partial demolition together with new single and two storey extensions and include a new cantilevered decking area over the existing pond.
This project consisted of demolition, refurbishment and alteration to the existing farm buildings at Low Farm for the client. The existing barns have been redeveloped to form a picturesque wedding venue, whilst the existing farmhouse has been extended and altered to provide a bridal suite, guest and hotel accommodation.
