Braintree

As part of a long term strategic plan, Hills Residential has 43 hectares of land to be promoted for the Local Development Framework. 19 hectares have been identified as a special landscape area to the north of Park Farm, with 6.5 hectares to the south, to be zoned as employment. The remainder is to be split between residential and education.

In conjunction with Braintree District Council, an application for employment for 6.5 hectares is being drawn up with the start date proposed 2008-2009.

Braintree College Strategic Plan outlines its desire to improve the facilities and methods of teaching. In analyzing the existing College estate it has become evident that it does not marry well with the visions and strategic aims of both the College and the Learning Skills Council (LSC). The College therefore has the desire to relocate into a new purpose-built 2 and 3 storey building at the Panfield Lane site.
