The Retreat offers sheltered housing for those who wish to live independently but would like the reassurance of a Warden back-up.

The original premises comprise semi-detached bungalows as shown and were recently refurbished by Hills, including new windows; new plumbing installation; new heating installation and remodelling.

Also, to improve facilities for the residents, this new Community Centre was constructed which incorporates first floor flats, together with offices for the Administration of The Retreat and a Community hall on the ground floor.
