Hillside Special School

Hillside School is a special school for pupils aged 2½ to 19 years who have severe or profound and multiple learning difficulties. They also have some pupils with moderate learning difficulties.

The School is situated in Sudbury, a small market town in West Suffolk, within the Stour Valley.

The current development consists of as follows:-

Phase 1

• A single storey extension to the south east side of the existing building to form further classrooms.

• Construction of a new works to the north east of the existing building to enclose an existing courtyard and form new sanitary area and new Head Teacher’s study.

The project is scheduled for completion towards the end of August 2008 in time for the new academic year.

Phase 2

Construction of a new hydrotherapy pool complex.

The proposed programme for this Phase of the works is yet to be determined.
